Rotting Roses

By Alexandra Sandison and Charles Moffat

Dying and rotting roses
Are full of new poses
Not the colour red
For the romantically dead

For the dead don't weep
Rotting roses don't keep
Relationships aren't fated
Bad situations are easily created

Every day is a lesson
Its always better in the long run
The rotting roses may not keep
But the lessons are worth the leap

After all is said and done
It was a lot of great fun
The roses smelled great in full bloom
But now their bittersweet stink is filling up the room

February 2012.
