Poetry by Charles Moffat
Love, that paramount of passions The only thing worth living for Dying for Walking through Hell for But a greater torment awaits The undesired Unreturned love, indeed, UNACKNOWLEDGED LOVE! Is the barbed blade Tainted with a slow poison Think of an red rose Beautiful, desirable But poisoness and prickly For red is the symbol of lust Not love Yellow is friendship Orange, my favourite Unique in every way That's the symbol of enduring love My rose, an orange one, Is wilting Poisoned by my red ones. |
